“Yellow River Spirit” – Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Mexico – July 2023

Story : This shot was taken during my one year trip to Mexico between 2022 and 2023, in the tropical forest above Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, on my friend’s land. A beautiful and refreshing river runs alongside his land and I came to visit it everyday during my two months stay in my friend’s homestead. There was a portion of the river where the leaves were often stuck, creating bright and colorful touches in the stream. I felt an inside call to take this picture and was later speechless in front of such beauty when I applied the symmetry. Mixed feelings of trust and melancolia emerge in me when looking at this artwork, as I witness the neverending and unstoppable effects of the Time going by, flowing like an endless river. The end is the beginning, the beginning is the end. The time is always now.
