Description : This shot was taken during my one year trip to Mexico, in the tropical forest above Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, on my friend’s land. A beautiful and refreshing river runs alongside his land and I came it everyday during my two months stay in my friend’s homestead. Oftentimes after heavy rains, the river was flooding, going from a peaceful stream to a roaring torrent, carrying branches and mud. The branch on the picture was deposited right next to the spot I was used to bath, and whitout touching it for a few days, I could witness some beautiful mushrooms growing on it. What a wonderful gift. When I edited this shot with symmetry, I was stoked by this owl-shaped mask appearing in front of me, as if the forest was looking at me through these round black eyes. This reminds me that Nature is watching us every second. Spirits are everywhere. Just tune in and feel Life’s magic, it’s all around us.
