“Arrow of Willpower” – Canyon del Paraiso, Oaxaca, Mexico – March 2025

Story : I took this shot during my second trip to Mexico, when I was traveling with a group of fantastic people. During one month, we participated to six Hikuri (peyote) ceremonies and did a magical pilgrimage in the desert of Wirikuta, the Huichols sacred land. This period of time was fantastic and deeply transformative. It feels like I did the inner work of many years but condensed into a few weeks. During this journey, we want to a place called “Canyon del Paraiso” – Paradise Canyon -, at the entrance of the Sierra Gorda, Querétaro. This lost place in the arid desert mountains truly is a blessed natural marvel. A large river runs inside the canyon, giving birth and nourrishing lots of trees and plants despite the aridity. With my friends we went hiking upstream, exploring this fantastic canyon and its impressive cliffs, where I took fantastic shots.
