Title : Dry Tear
(March 2023)
Description : I took this shot during my 6 months trip to Guatemala in 2024, at the powerful and marvelous Atitlan Lake, in San Marcos la Laguna’s natural reserve. I was walking by the edge of the cliff on a beautiful path surrounded by amazing local plants and flowers. This variety of colours and shapes pleased my eyes and Soul. I was sad on this particular day, with unexplainable feelings of melancolia and loneliness. During these moments, I find solace in Nature. I enjoy lying down and simply observing these feelings like people passing by, knowing that their presence is temporary. That’s when my gaze landed on this dead wooden brother. I felt the desire to put my hands on it. Its energy was still present and its surface soft and reassuring, telling me a story through its patterns. I was grateful for its presence and stood with it a little while. Nature heals the Soul. ♥
