The River’s Messenger

“The River’s Messenger” – Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Mexico – July 2023

Story : I took this shot during my one year trip to Mexico between 2022 and 2023. At that time, I was on my friend’s homestead near Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, in the tropical forest. A luxuriant sanctuary where a refreshing river runs. I came to visit this river almost everyday during my two months stay on his land, after exhausting and rewarding working sessions, honoring the Earth with our energy, sweat and blood. This river is very special to me as it provided us with freshness everytime we came to visit it. It was also an amazing playground for me and my camera, capturing fantastic shots while walking up the stream. This particular artwork holds a very special meaning to me, as it is the starting point of my decision to realise this artistic project. That is why I called it “The River’s Messenger”. I was told to make this wish come true. That reminds me to always listen to Mother Nature’s wise messages.
